About the Photographer

My name is Jennifer Valencia, and I am a portrait photographer.  I love taking candid pictures of children and babies using natural light. I also use strobes to do posed portrait shots of families and children.  I am passionate about photography. I put my heart into each job and make my photographs as perfect as I can. 

I teach classes in photography, and I take portraits and do event photography. I used to use film cameras, but now I use only digital SLR Nikon cameras.

I'm  friendly and I work well with kids and pets. I also believe there is no such thing as a "dumb question," so  please feel free to ask me anything about photography or my photo shoots.

I graduated from Columbia University with a B.S. in Chemical Engineering and worked as an engineer and manager at Intel Corporation for almost 10 years.  I currently divide my time between taking care of my toddler and taking pictures...my two favorite things.
